What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on treatment that works with your whole body. Using a light touch I connect with the tissues in your body, working with the bones, fluid and soft tissue around your head, neck and spine – this is your craniosacral system. The techniques I use allow your body to self-correct and realign itself, in turn allowing your central nervous system to function efficiently and creating a state of deep relaxation. It's suitable for all ages, including pregnant women, newborn babies and the elderly.
How can CST help me?
Craniosacral therapy can help with all sorts of issues. In general it can help to calm your central nervous system providing a beneficial effect across your whole body.
Some people find it makes a difference to pain they have had; others find that they are able to explore the deeper causes of their symptoms and release deeply held tensions.
Some of my clients come for treatment for muscular injuries, back problems, headaches and jaw problems, migraines and anxiety while others come to look at historic trauma or emotional challenges.
Some also come for regular sessions for wellbeing, reporting that it helps with their sleep and their general mental and physical health.

Everything in your body is connected by a special kind of tissue called fascia.
Fascia is like a giant internal body-stocking, supporting your organs and linking everything together. This means that a strain felt in one part of your body may be coming from a problem elsewhere.
Imagine a fully laid table: when you pull on one corner of the tablecloth a cup falls over elsewhere the tablecloth.
Fascia is a bit like that tablecloth; part of the healing process is allowing the different parts of the body to realign and this is sometimes felt elsewhere (often somewhere unexpected!) while your body self-corrects.
